Conversation with Beth Bedell – Important insights related to end of life issues, medical record challenges, doctors’ training around these issues, advanced health care directives, POLST (Provider Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatments), philosophies and acknowledging the challenge it can be to have these hard conversations.
Beth actively works to help create understanding why health care directives are important. Beth also works to create awareness and support solving the concern that tools we have in place such as health care directives, DNR, etc. might not be easily found in an emergency situation and consequences that might come from that.
