Naomi is a grief and trauma therapist out of Northfield, MN and a member of the North America Climate Psychology Alliance. She finds herself spending increasing focus working with Eco-anxiety, climate change organizations and climate resilience work.

Eco-anxiety… what it is and the many ways and places it can show up!

As we learn more about the changing climate and all of the challenges and follow on the planet and for us, our families and individually.  It can be a true source of stress in figuring out how to navigate our future and work to do what we can to help. (Not to mention those in areas for whom these changes are occurring as we speak.)

Naomi shares strategies to help with…
–Managing the anxiety in its various forms that some experience along with the awareness of the changing climate as it relates to the future.
–How to help many feel less isolated.
–How to talk to those who may not be aware of the concerns climate changes has on the planet and people’s lives and lively hood.

She speaks to a number of ideas and resources one can get involved in, in small ways all the way up to training and education for those that feel called to do this work.

Though our discussion is eco-anxiety focused, many of the concepts can apply to other areas of our lives as well.

WE TALKED ABOUT AND TOUCHED ON...
–Considering our values to help us feel less overwhelmed.
–Doing what we can, grieving what we can’t.
–The importance of our sense of humor
–Voices, choices and votes
