Dear Doctors… some insights as to why some patients don’t follow suggested treatment plans, loose trust or don’t come back.

In this episode, I, Judy, share a recent health challenge – One made complicated by the lack of correct information conveyed to me by those in my primary care, whom I depend on for the best and accurate information, informing decisions I make for my health. Complications that have very simple solutions. I propose concerns, questions and solutions for those doctors, nurses, etc. who’s charge is to care for us, their patients. A plea to those providing care – please be a thorough, mindful, truthful, and attentive listener… let yourselves be allowed to say “I don’t know” and be a partner with your patients. Your assistance, information and words have beautiful and scary consequences that we live with long after the appointment or phone call. Nobody is perfect all the time, mistakes are made, yet we must all work to seek health CARE that is not just getting the job done but doing the job well in service of those who depend on us, as best we can. I REFUSE to accept that my experience is “the best we can do”. No one should!
