I know, I know… Food safety – not the most GLAMOROUS or sexy topic! HOWEVER!!
Many of us don’t spend the time in the kitchen each day that our grandmothers or even mothers did. For many people, the habits and muscle memory of cooking a complex, large meal isn’t second nature.
Lars Johnson, a fantastically experienced food safety guy FROM “Food Safety Guy”, checks in to give us tools and remind us of good, big meal prep practices. He talks turkey… pause for effect 🙂 … preparation, storing, thawing options, and minimizing salmonella, etc. He walks us through our meal with left over food, storage, and sending food home with folks.
Great tips if you are diving into your first gig as turkey day host, or even if you are an old pro – walk through the steps with us and make sure you have your bases covered. Go forth with confidence and have a relaxing, wonderful meal!
